About Us

dedicated to Caring & healing Lives

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Batticaloa, is part of the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission, a worldwide movement dedicated to serving humanity through free healthcare, nutrition, education, and rural development. Guided by the principle “Love All, Serve All,” our hospital is committed to ensuring that no one is denied quality healthcare due to financial hardship.

Since opening its doors in October 2017 with an Outpatient Department, the hospital has grown into a center of healing for thousands of families. In August 2022, the full facility was inaugurated, and in June 2023, the first and only Cath Lab in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province began operations. As of June 2025, over 2,917 cardiac interventions and 836 stent procedures have been performed completely free of cost, saving patients from expenses ranging between Rs. 85,000 to over Rs. 10 lakhs in private hospitals. Alongside this, free heart surgeries have been carried out for both children and adults, while others have been supported with treatment in India.

Our services extend beyond medical care. Through our Annapoorna Nutrition Program, more than 100,000 food parcels have been distributed, nourishing children, mothers, the elderly, and the needy. Equally important is our women’s empowerment initiative, which has provided employment to 18 women from low-income families, transforming hardship into stability and hope.

With 43 dedicated staff members and state-of-the-art infrastructure including OPD, Cath Lab, CCU, Recovery, and CSSD, we continue to expand our mission of service. Every achievement is made possible through the generosity of donors in Sri Lanka and across the world.

Every step we take is for lives yet to be healed.
